I have just been to see the team at Optical Illusion. Beat service I’ve ever had from an optician. Care and time spent and no hard sell to buy new glasses. Service was outstanding and would recommend you go here before you go to ‘a chain’. Andrew and Helen have years of experience and it shows.

Taking my glasses off...none too gently this morning..I managed to break the frame!...so..taped them together...Harry Potter style..and popped in to see(excuse the pun)..if they could be repaired,or the lenses fitted into a new frame.Within half an hour..whilst relaxing with a lovely cup of tea.. (courtesy of the equally lovely Helen),I’d chosen a new frame ,and Scott refitted my original lenses into the new frames.Can’t recommend these guys highly enough.Professional,knowledgeable..and above all friendly and extremely helpful.I wouldn’t go anywhere else.5 star service.

Amazing place, I can only recommend. Andy spent ages with Kira to make sure she is comfortable with the checkup. They have a great selection of kids glasses and they go the extra mile to make sure it fits properly.

I take my prescriptions to Optical Illusion and am totally satisfied with the 3 pairs of glasses I have had. They are brilliant at measuring up for varifocals and provide individual advice to customers. I also like their choice of frames but you can take your own frames/reuse old ones. Very friendly atmosphere and professional approach.

I had an issue with the lenses of my new glasses that I’d purchased from an online company. I took the glasses to 3 different opticians and nobody wanted to touch the lenses or offer any advice as to what could be wrong with them. I wanted the glasses re-glazed as there was an obvious problem with the left lens, however trying to find an optician that would help or that re-glazes glasses not purchased from them is somewhat of a nightmare, and the one other optician I did find that would, quoted me £100!
I came across optical illusion via a google search and called in. The staff were so so helpful and thorough. They took the time to sit down and listen to what the issues were with my glasses. Checked the prescription, did a few measurements against my old glasses and the new and came up with some possible causes for the issues I was having. Cost of re-glazing? £45! Less than half the price I was quoted by another company the day before!
To top it all off, I received a phone call 24hours later to say my glasses were re-glazed and ready to be collected. Top class service! Would highly recommend. Thank you optical illusion.

I would like to thank Helen and Scott for being amazing with Louis. The difference in Louis's glasses and him wearing his glasses are amazing with the bridge and curl sides making them fit perfect. Louis never liked going for his glasses now he loves going into Optical Illusion thank you so much.
